Educating both girls and boys is the most effective way to shift deep-seated cultural attitudes that diminish and overlook women’s contributions.

Children need to be taught to recognize and value everyone’s role in building a better world. That’s why we need to End Sexism in Schools!

Professor Carmen Mangion is a social and cultural historian of religion and gender in nineteenth and twentieth-century Britain.

Her research broadly examines how religious identities were formed, understood and lived during times of social change.

In addition, it highlights wider themes of transnational religious life; intentional communities; Catholic internationalism; Catholic feminism, philanthropy and voluntary action; religious activism; and the lived history of the Second Vatican Council.
