The Mirror: The Women Who Should be Included in History Lessons

Upon reading the ESIS History report and learning that women are excluded from the history curriculum, the Mirror asked their panel of experts which women should be taught in school history lessons. Journalist, Emmeline Saunders spotlights some incredible women from history: Sophia Duleep Singh; Lilian Bader; Grace Darling; Constance Markievicz; Mary Seacole; Ellen Wilkinson; Hedy Lamarr; Queen Marie.

Image: Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-born Hollywood actress and inventor, celebrated both for her beauty on screen and her brilliance off it. During World War II, she co-invented a frequency-hopping communication system that became the foundation for modern technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
